x2+y2= (x+y) 2-2xy = (12) 2-2×32 = 144 - 64 = 80

X+y=12 (X+y)2=12^2 (a+b)2 =a2 +b2 + 2ab (X+y)=12^2 X2+y2+2xy=12^2 X2+Y2=144 Xy=32 X2+y2=144-2^32 X2+Y2=144-64=80
