X+y=12 (X+y)2=12^2 (a+b)2 =a2 +b2 + 2ab (X+y)=12^2 X2+y2+2xy=12^2 X2+Y2=144 Xy=32 X2+y2=144-2^32 X2+Y2=144-64=80
