    x² - 3x - 10 = 0 => x² - (5 - 2)x - 10 = 0 => x² - 5x + 2x - 10 = 0 => x(x - 5) + 2(x - 5) = 0 => (x - 5)(x + 2) = 0 x - 5 = 0 or x + 2 = 0 => x = 5 or => x = - 2 Roots are 5, - 2
