Refraction is the change in direction of light when it passes from one medium to another. The working of lense is based on the refraction light when they pass through it. A lens is a transparent material bound by two surfaces, of which one or both surfaces are spherical. It implies that a lens is bound by at least ine spherical surface. The other surface of such lenses would be plane. A lens May have two spherical surfaces, blug ging outwards.
