Why did gandhiji started non cooperation movement? Explain.

1) Need for non cooperation = Gandhiji believed that British invasion and growth was possible in India only due to Indian cooperation. If Indians refused to cooperate, British will leave India in hardly one year. 2) Hindus + Muslims = Gandhiji wanted to unify Muslims and Hindus. So, he merged Khilafat movement to Non Cooperation Movement. 3) Rowlatt Satyagraha = The failure of Rowlatt Satyagraha enraged Gandhiji, so he decided to launch NCM.

Gandhiji started NCM to Bring Swaraj in India and to promote Khilafat movement.
