Diploblastic organisms are organisms that possesses only two germ layers which is an ectoderm (the outermost germ layer) and the endoderm (the innermost germ layer). The ectoderm is responsible for forming the epidermis, the nervous tissue, and nephridia (if it is present). The endoderm is responsible for forming the gut.
