Differences between an animal cell and a plant cell:

Animal Cell

Plant Cell

i. Animal cells are generally small in size.

ii. Cell wall is absent.

 

 

iii. Animal cells have a single highly complex and prominent Golgi apparatus.

 

iv. Animals cells have centrosome and centrioles.

i. Plant cells are larger than animal cells.

ii. The plasma membrane of plant cell is surrounded by a rigid cell wall of cellulose.

iii. Plant cells have many simpler units of Golgi apparatus, called dictyosomes.

iv. Plant cells lack centrosome and centrioles.
