Circular motion

If a body or a particle move in the circular path the motion is said to be a circular motion.
In circular motion the particle or a body moves around a point which is not on the particle or the body in the circular motion.
Example: a toy train on a circular track has circular motion.

Rotatory Motion

The motion of an object is said to be rotatory if the particles of the object rotate in a circular path with respect to an imaginary axis, known as the axis of rotation.
The axis of rotation can be either inside or outside the body of the object that is spinning
In general, a toy train on a track does not have an axis that it's rotating around, so it would not have rotational motion.
