Charge is defined as the flow of free electrons ... It is generally denoted by Q ... The charge mainly balanced between the number of electons and neutrons in an atom.... An electron carries negative charge while proton has a positive charge... However if the electrons are greater in quantity than protons in nucleus the charge on the atom is negative and greater number of protons leads to positive charge an atom ... The amount of the charge carried by an atom is multiple of elementary charge charge has the unit of coulomb denoted by C.......
