As there are two teachers in the play and Taplow is represented as the speaker of all the students as an unit. So from the play we come to know that although Mr Crocker Harris did not like to be liked by the students but still they liked him. Mr Crocker Harris was a man of strict principles and regulations therefore students were afraid of him but still they liked him. He was so strict that even on the last working day he called Taplow for extra work which he had missed once due to his illness and Taplow was obedient to come. But Frank encouraged him to cut Crocker Harris and play golf but Taplow did not move from the place. He was an obedient student and he knew how to respond to the punishment given by the teacher. So there was true relationship between the teacher and student as shown by both the characters. Both were respectful and conscious towards their duties and it is shown in the play how did they fulfil their duties.
