Because ventricles have to pump blood into rest body.

The walls of the ventricles are more thicker than atrium because they have to pump into various organs of the body.And if it will not thick then it can burst during the pumping of blood as it acquires a large force for the pumping of blood.

Because they pump the blood frim heart to arteries.To withstand the pressure they have thick walls.
