Tropic movement
Nastic movement
(i) It is always directional in relation to direction of stimulus.
(i) It is non-directional and is not related to the direction of movement.
(ii) Mostly it occurs in cylindrical organs e.g. shoot tip.
(ii) Such a movement is generally found in flat or asymmetrical organs e.g. leaves.
(iii) It is a growth movement.
(iii) It can be growth or turgor movement.
