There was 2 type of effect one was economic effect and other was social effect =>ECONOMIC EFFECTS ->Due to war the expenditure increased ->Expenditure lead to loans ->Almost every part of india was suffering from crop failure =>SOCIAL EFFECTS ->Villagers were asked to supply soldiers ->Influnza epidemic spread in parts of India lead to death of 19-20 million of peoples ->No action was taken by the government on this disease which lead to the anti colonial movements

British sent Indians forcefully to fight in the war.

Indian farmers were forced to grow the crops  to fufill the food requirements in the war front.

 As the expenditure increased the British increased taxes in India. This had a negative impact on the Indian economy.
