In case on movement of cup.. Before movement - cup and tea in cup remains at rest.. After movement - the cup moves but the tea inside it remains at rest .. So when it'll gonna split off, the groove in saucer helps to prevent the falling of tea on to the floor, the tea will topple in the saucer
