Given equation,

x^2 + 7x + k = 0 , given root -2

Substituting value of x = -2 in the equation

4 - 14 + k = 0

k = 10

Now the equation is x^2 +7 x + 10 = 0

Or x^2 + 2x + 5x + 10

= x(x + 2) + 5( x + 2)

= (x + 5)(x + 2)

x= -5, -2

,so, other value of x is -5
