As in water H+ ions has a concentration of 10power - 7 but when we consider most of the cases we ignore it as it is negligible when compared with the given H+ ion concentration Now, solution is H+ concentration is not 10power - 8 but it is 10power - 8 + 10power - 7 and then use ph=-log(H+ concentration) thats all u will get the answer Here we considered 10power - 7 due to the reason that 10power - 7 is comparable with 10power - 8
