It is the formation of new plants from the vegetative part of the plants like leaves, roots & stems. Advantage : - it is use the propagation of plants that have loss the capacity to produce seed . Ex banana etc Plants produce by this method are genetically similar to their parents. Plant raised by vegetative propagation bear flowers and fruits earlier then those produce from seed. Disadvantages 1. Disease contracted by parents plants spread through all the daughter plants. 2. In desirable character cannot be eliminated and dsirrable character cannot be introduced. 3. Vegetative propogules can not be stored for long time.

propogation through vegetativ parts of the plants like stem,roots etc is known a vegetative propogation! advantages-plants who have lost the capacity to bear seeds can reprodeuce through this process,and new plants are geneticalyy same as parent plant disadvantages-variation does not occur.,
