Aradhana and ghandharv are heads of two departments in yumco Ltd. They are effecient managers and are able to motivate the employees for their respective departments to improve performance. However, they drive to excel on their sphere of activity instead of giving emphasis on objective of the enterprise has hindered the interaction between the departments that Aradhana and ghandharv are heading. Often there was inter departmental conflict and they have become incompatible. This has proved to be harmful in the fulfilment of organisational objectives. The situation has deteriorated to such an extent that the ceo of yumco Ltd has hired a consultant, rashi to resolve the problem. After studying situations clearly, rashmi found that the problem has arisen due to inflexiblity and narrow perspectives on the part of both Aradhana and ghandharv.
