We know that difference between any two consecutive terms of an AP is equal
{tex}\therefore{a_2} - {a_1} = {a_3} - {a_2}{/tex}
let {tex}a_1=(k+9), a_2=(2k-1), a_3=(2k+7){/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow (2k - 1) - (k + 9) = (2k + 7) - (2k - 1){/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow k - 10 = 8{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow k = 18{/tex}
