    Let rooot be a rational number √2=a/b where a,b are co prime Squaring 2=a²/b²,,b² is divisible by 2 b is also divisible by 2 Let a=3c B²=c²/3 c² is divisible by 2 C is also divisible by 2 So root is a rational number which contradict that it is irrational..this contradiction has arises bcz of our wrong assumption..so root 2 is irrational
