The stanza from mother at 66 says that.:- "but soon put that thought far away, and looked out at Young trees sprinting, the merry children spilling out of their homes... " and the asked a question that is... What was the poet 'looking' at? What did she noticed? The answer given is that the poet was looking at her mother. She noticed the mothers ashen and almost lifeless face......... No i am confused if she was looking at the trees and children or at her mother. Plz help....

She was looking out from the car to put away the thought that her mother getting older and one day she would loose him. She looked at the trees and the children spilling out of their homes.

Firstly she was looking at hr mom and thinking abut her health but it pains hr and to deviate hr mind she looked out to sprinting trees.
