This is gattermann koch rx. In this reaction CO + HCl gives HCOCl. Then HCOl reacts with benzene in the presence of AlCl3 + CuCl to give Benzaldehyde + HCl ./ Benzene + Co + HCl in presence of AlCl3 + CuCl gives benzaldehyde + HCl.
