Marks distribution for class 10 NTSE Scholarship Question Paper Stage 2 Board exam

The second stage of the NTSE 2018 will be held by NCERT at the National Level. In Stage 2, only the shortlisted candidates of Stage 1 can appear to compete for the scholarship. The exam pattern of NTSE 2018 for Stage 2 states that in this stage, the paper is divided into two parts namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The NTSE Stage 2 exam will be held on May 13, 2018 in all states and union territories of India. There will be 100 questions in both MAT and SAT (Science-40, Maths-20, Social science-40). The duration of both the exams is 2 hours or 120 minutes. In NTSE Stage 2 exam, there will not any negative marking. Only candidates qualifying in both the papers separately will be considered for merit. Selection of the awardee will be made on the basis of total marks scored in MAT and SAT based on merit. Candidates can find the timings for both the papers in NTSE Stage 2 exam.

• Stage 2 of NTSE is conducted at National Level, where shortlisted students from Stage-I (State-level) exam appear to compete for the scholarship.
• The paper is divided into two parts – MAT and SAT, like that in Stage-I.
• There will be a total of 200 objective-type questions.
• However, 1/3 marks are deducted for every wrong answer marked by the candidate at this Stage.
• No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
• The test is to be completed in 180 minutes.
