{"id":53,"date":"2009-03-08T04:54:19","date_gmt":"2009-03-08T04:54:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/blog\/?p=53"},"modified":"2010-04-02T05:40:06","modified_gmt":"2010-04-02T05:40:06","slug":"introduction-of-graphic-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/blog\/introduction-of-graphic-design\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction of Graphic Design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Your attention is drawn to the Board\u2019s Circular No. 17 dated 30th April,2008 regarding the introduction of the new Elective Subject \u2013 Graphic Design (Code No. 071)\u00a0 in Class XI from the session 2008-09 and class XII in 2009-10.<\/p>\n<p>In this connection, please find enclosed the detailed syllabus along with examination specifications, guidelines for practical work, requirement of qualification for teachers, and infrastructure need.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Textbooks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The textbooks have been published by the NCERT and the titles are as follows: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>(i)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Story of Design Part &#8211; I for class XI<br \/>\n(ii)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Story of Design Part &#8211; II for class XII<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teachers Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A Post Graduate in any Art form (Masters in Drawing or Painting) with Diploma in Computer Aided Designing or Certificate Course in Multimedia<br \/>\nB.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BFA and Masters (MFA) with knowledge in Multimedia\/Design<br \/>\nC.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 M.Ed with Diploma in Computer Aided Design\/Multimedia.<\/p>\n<p>Desirable Qualification: In addition to the above,\u00a0 teaching experience of at least two years is desirable.\u00a0 Teacher needs to be oriented by NCERT\/CBSE.<\/p>\n<p>Lab Assistant: Lab assistant with the following minimum qualifications may be appointed:<br \/>\nA.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 10-+2 student who has passed the Graphic Design elective course.<br \/>\nB.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A class X with certificate Course in Multimedia Design and experience of handling a multimedia Lab.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Infrastructure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>i)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The student computer ratio must be 1:1 compulsorily.<br \/>\nii)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Computers to be used in this studio must be multimedia compatible.<br \/>\niii)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Existing Computer Labs may not be able to serve the purpose.<br \/>\niv)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Accessories \u2013 Scanner, printer, pen tablet should also be part of the studio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A training programme for 10 days for teachers is proposed to be conducted by the Board in collaboration with the NCERT.\u00a0 Your requirement in this connection may be communicated to the undersigned by 10th March, 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Details of this circular may kindly be brought to the notice of the teachers concerned and students who have offered this as an Elective for the session 2008-2009 in Class XI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your attention is drawn to the Board\u2019s Circular No. 17 dated 30th April,2008 regarding the introduction of the new Elective Subject \u2013 Graphic Design (Code No. 071)\u00a0 in Class XI from the session 2008-09 and class XII in 2009-10.
