{"id":2739,"date":"2014-12-25T11:20:33","date_gmt":"2014-12-25T05:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/blog\/?p=2739"},"modified":"2014-12-25T11:20:33","modified_gmt":"2014-12-25T05:50:33","slug":"exams-and-how-to-prepare-for-them","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/blog\/exams-and-how-to-prepare-for-them\/","title":{"rendered":"Exams \u2013 and how to prepare for them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whatever you are taking Board Exams, or not, planning your time is a Must.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Count the number of subjects you have and the number of days left for the exams, to start.<\/li>\n<li>Apportion a certain amount of time for each subject, giving more time to your weaker subjects.<\/li>\n<li>Set aside some time for Maths everyday. Solve similar types of problems over and over again.<\/li>\n<li>Study 2-3 (3-4) subjects every day to avoid monotony and boredom. However, if you prefer finishing your revision subject wise that is entirely up to you.<\/li>\n<li>Make a time-table and try to stick to it.<\/li>\n<li>Give yourself a break every hour so. Walk about a bit, stretch, do a light exercise. Get back to your table.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t slouch. A bad posture can be very tiring as it puts undue stain on your muscles.<\/li>\n<li>Have a proper study table if you can. It is great to study out-doors but the distractions are too many.<\/li>\n<li>Eat your meals at regular times.<\/li>\n<li>Get enough sleep. Your body is young and growing. Give it enough rest (at least 7 hours).<\/li>\n<li>Get up early. Your mind will be fresh to absorb information and it is really the best time to study.<\/li>\n<li>Banish that video and TV set from your life. There is time enough after the exams, to watch your favourite programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Be disciplined and strict with yourself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0At the same time, DON\u2019T<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Study your favourite subjects(s) at the cost of others.<\/li>\n<li>Jump from topic to topic. Cover each topic thoroughly before you go on to the next one.<\/li>\n<li>Rink endless cup of coffee. They don\u2019t do you any good at all.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>In the Examination Hall \u2013 Here are some tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Read the paper thoroughly before you start to answer.<\/li>\n<li>Be sure you understand the question properly.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping 10 minutes for revising your answer sheet. Divide the rest of the time between the questions to be answered.<\/li>\n<li>If you are not able to compete your answer within that time, leave if for the time being and go on to the next question. Come b back to it later if you have few minutes spare.<\/li>\n<li>Answer first the questions that are easy for you and go back to the hard ones later.<\/li>\n<li>Answer all the questions required to be answered by you, even if you answer some of them only partially.<\/li>\n<li>Do not leave out any question, particularly if it is a compulsory question. You will be denying yourself that set of marks straightway.
