The total marks have been reduced to 60 from 90 last year BUT there is no change in number of questions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media-mycbseguide.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/images\/examguide\/CBSE%20LOGO.JPG\" alt=\"PSA Exam\" width=\"172\" height=\"191\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\">http:\/\/mycbseguide.com<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>PSA Exam<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><strong>What is\u00a0\u00a0Problem Solving Assessment (PSA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PSA is a pen-paper test to evaluate\u00a0the skills of verbal communication, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, creative thinking, decision making among students. It is widely recognised that the skills of verbal communication, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, creative thinking, decision making and generic skills play a crucial role for every individual in order to be successful in personal as well as professional life. With the objectives of promoting and assessing these skills in the students, the Board initiated the conduct of Problem solving Assessment in February, 2013. The initiative of the Board has been widely accepted and appreciated by the stakeholders.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>PSA Exam<\/h2>\n<p>We have added PSA Study material for classes 9 and 11 for free access. Users can download the PSA Question papers and sample papers and take online tests in PSA.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>(1) Class-9 <a title=\"Download PSA Sample papers November 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/download\/1005\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download PSA Sample Papers and Question papers<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) Class-11 <a title=\"Download PSA Sample Papers 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/download\/1006\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download PSA Sample papers and Question papers<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) Class-9 <a title=\"class-9 PSA online practice tests\" href=\"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/onlinetest\/class-09-psa-questions\/1717\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSA online pratice tests<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) Class-11 <a title=\"Online practice tests for PSA class-11\" href=\"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/onlinetest\/class-11-psa-questions\/1722\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSA online practice tests<\/a><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>PSA Exam<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Salient features of this test are as under:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is compulsory for all students of classes IX and XI.<\/li>\n<li>It comprises of a total of 60 items of MCQ type and carries 60 marks.<\/li>\n<li>The test will be held from 10.00A.M. to 12.00 noon.<\/li>\n<li>The test assesses life skills related to the following three domains:\u00a0Language conventions, qualitative reasoning and quantitative reasoning.<\/li>\n<li>The items included in the test aim to assess students\u2019 ability to process, interpret and use information rather than assessing their prior subject matter knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>The assessment in English or Hindi include items to test grammar, usage, vocabulary in context and passage completion.<\/li>\n<li>The question paper will be bilingual.<\/li>\n<li>PSA score will be counted towards FA4 which is 10% of total assessments for class-IX. This score will be reflected equally in one language (English or Hindi), Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Class-XI students will be issued a separate certificate for the same.<\/li>\n<li>Students studying in class X and XII in the current session (who appeared in PSA while\u00a0studying in classes IX and XI during the previous session) who wish to improve in PSA are\u00a0allowed to do so. Related information may be indicated clearly at the time of submission of\u00a0list of candidates (LOC) for 2015 annual examination.<\/li>\n<li>There will be no separate registration for appearing in PSA.<\/li>\n<li>A nominal fee of Rs.100\/- per student for appearing in PSA is to be submitted by the school at the time of submission of other details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The schools may contact Dr. Sadhana Parashar, Director (ART &amp;I) at sadhanap.cbse@nic.in or Mr. R.P.
