{"id":2476,"date":"2014-05-14T09:53:41","date_gmt":"2014-05-14T04:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/blog\/?p=2476"},"modified":"2014-05-14T09:57:52","modified_gmt":"2014-05-14T04:27:52","slug":"improvement-exam-rules-for-cbse-class-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mycbseguide.com\/blog\/improvement-exam-rules-for-cbse-class-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Compartment, Improvement Exam Rules for CBSE Class-10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rules for Compartment examination known as Improvement of performance in class 10 CCE system.<\/p>\n<p>A candidate obtaining Grades E1 or E2 in any or all the five subjects(excluding 6th additional subject as per the scheme of\u00a0studies) under Scholastic Area A at the examination jointly conducted by the Board and School shall be eligible for Improvement\u00a0of Performance in any or all the five subjects.<\/p>\n<p>A candidate who has appeared for the Secondary School Examination and obtained Grades E1 or E2 in any or all the\u00a0five subjects(excluding the 6th additional subject) under Scholastic Area A, as per the Scheme of Studies, shall be eligible\u00a0for improving her performance in any or all the five subjects and may reappear at the only chance of Improvement of\u00a0Performance to be conducted by the Board\/School by July, as per the option exercised for the main examination held\u00a0in March the same year. The candidate will be issued a Statement of Subject wise Performance\/Grade Sheet cum\u00a0Certificate of Performance provided she obtains minimum Grade D in at least five subjects(excluding the 6th additional\u00a0subject) under Scholastic Area A as per the Scheme of Studies and grades in the subjects under Scholastic Area B and\u00a0Co-Scholastic Areas.<\/p>\n<p>A candidate who has appeared for the Secondary School Examination conducted by a school affiliated to the Board and\u00a0obtained Grades E1 or E2 in any or all the five subjects(excluding the 6th additional subject) under Scholastic Area A,\u00a0as per the Scheme of Studies, shall be eligible for improving her performance in any or all the five subjects and may\u00a0reappear at the only chance of Improvement of Performance examination to be conducted by the School by July the\u00a0same year.<\/p>\n<p>At the Secondary School Examination, a candidate who does not obtain minimum Grade D in the five subjects(excluding\u00a0the 6th additional subject) under Scholastic Area A at the only chance of Improvement of Performance shall be treated\u00a0to have not qualified the examination and shall be required to reappear in all the subjects at the examination to be held\u00a0in March of the subsequent year, in order to qualify the examination. The syllabi and courses shall be as laid down for\u00a0Summative Assessment II for the year of examination concerned. The candidates&#8217; grades obtained in all the Formative\u00a0Assessments and Summative Assessments at the main examination shall be carried over for the only chance of\u00a0Improvement of Performance.<\/p>\n<p>A candidate who fails to obtain minimum Grade D in the five subjects(excluding 6th additional subject) under Scholastic\u00a0Area A at the Secondary School Examination conducted by the School\/Board shall be provisionally admitted to class XI till\u00a0she takes in the only chance Improvement of Performance to be held that year. Her admission shall be treated as cancelled\u00a0if she fails to obtain minimum Grade D in the five subjects(excluding the 6th additional subject) under Scholastic Area A at\u00a0the Improvement of Performance examination.<\/p>\n<p>A candidate who has obtained minimum Grade D in at least five subjects (excluding the 6th additional subject) under Scholastic\u00a0Area A as per the Scheme of Studies and a Qualifying Certificate\/Gradesheet Cum Certificate of Performance at the Secondary\u00a0School Examination may offer an additional subject as a private candidate provided the additional subject is provided in the\u00a0Scheme of Studies and is offered within six years of passing the examination of the Board. No exemption from time limit will\u00a0be given after six years.
