The salient features of the CBSE Proficiency Test 2011 are as follows:<\/p>\n
a) Only those students are allowed to take the proposed test(s) who have applied through the schools and paid requisite fee.<\/p>\n
b) A student will\u00a0 have\u00a0 to\u00a0 appear\u00a0 from\u00a0 the\u00a0 same\u00a0 city\/place where\u00a0 his\/ her school is located. The examination will be conducted in the same centre as it was for Class X\/XII Board Examination.<\/p>\n
c) Question Paper in every subject will carry 100 marks.<\/p>\n
d)\u00a0 The\u00a0 timings\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 test will\u00a0 be\u00a0 from\u00a0 10.30\u00a0 a.m.\u00a0 to\u00a0 01.00\u00a0 p.m.\u00a0 in\u00a0 each subject.<\/p>\n
e) It will be a Paper?Pen Test. All questions will be of Multiple Choice type. A\u00a0 student will\u00a0 be\u00a0 required\u00a0 to mark\u00a0 the\u00a0 answers\u00a0 in\u00a0 a given OMR\u00a0 sheet with blue\/black ball point pen only.<\/p>\n
f)\u00a0 General\u00a0 guidelines,\u00a0 sample\u00a0 questions\u00a0 in\u00a0 every\u00a0 subject\u00a0 and\u00a0 information about\u00a0 overall\u00a0 design\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 question\u00a0 paper\u00a0 are\u00a0 available\u00a0 on\u00a0 CBSE website.\u00a0 Please note that\u00a0 instead of Paper Pencil Test, as stated\u00a0 in the Guidelines, it will be a Paper?Pen Test.\u00a0 This important change may be brought to the notice of all students and parents.<\/p>\n
g) The Board will\u00a0 issue Admit Card to every student appearing\u00a0 in the test. These Admit Cards will be made\u00a0 available\u00a0 at\u00a0 the\u00a0 respective\u00a0 schools\u00a0 in which\u00a0 a\u00a0 student\u00a0 was\u00a0 studying\u00a0 in\u00a0 class\u00a0 X.\u00a0\u00a0 Also,\u00a0 the\u00a0 Roll\u00a0 No.\u00a0 of\u00a0 the student will remain the same as that of Secondary Examination.<\/p>\n
h) The test in every subject will be based on classes IX?X CBSE syllabus.<\/p>\n
i) Negative marks will be awarded for wrong answers\u00a0 in different subjects as per the general guidelines and sample questions for Proficiency Test. More than one answer indicated against a question will also be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.<\/p>\n
j) Students\u00a0 appearing\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 test will\u00a0 be\u00a0 issued\u00a0 a\u00a0 certificate\u00a0 by\u00a0 the Board indicating percentile rank.<\/p>\n
h) The Roll Number to the students would remain the same as that of Class X Examination.\u00a0 There is a possibility that Roll numbers would not be in continuity and there would be certain gaps as all the students have not applied for the Proficiency Test.\u00a0 Accordingly, you may kindly make the seating\u00a0 arrangement.\u00a0\u00a0 However,\u00a0 Admit\u00a0 Cards\u00a0 are\u00a0 being\u00a0 sent\u00a0 to\u00a0 the students through the school which has sponsored the students.<\/p>\n
