However, those who studied English Communicative in class 9 (session 2017-18) will continue it in class 10 this year (2018-19) but new students in class 9 will have to study English Language and Literature in session 2018-19 and next year onwards there will be only English Language and Literature for both class 9 and 10. As on today, English Communicative was being taught in most of the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and private schools whereas most of the government schools are following English Language and literature. Now all CBSE students will study same subject.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"No_Novels_in_English_Language_and_Literature\"><\/span>No Novels in English Language and Literature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Good news for students. Now they need not to study long novels in English class 9 and 10 (new syllabus). However, students who studied English communicative in class 9 will have to follow the same syllabus including novels in class 10 too.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"e-Publishing_and_e-Office_discontinued\"><\/span>e-Publishing and e-Office discontinued<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>CBSE has discontinued the subject e-Publishing and e-Office from session 2018-19. However, students who studied this in class 9 in session 2018-19 will continue it in class 10 too.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ICT_discontinued_and_FIT_renamed_as_Computer_Applications\"><\/span>ICT discontinued and FIT renamed as Computer Applications<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Now Information and communication technology (ICT) has been discontinued and the syllabus of Foundation of Information Technology is termed as Computer Applications. Students coming to class 9 in session 2018-19 will study FIT as Computer Applications.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sanskrit_Communicative_is_now_Sanskrit\"><\/span>Sanskrit Communicative is now Sanskrit<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>CBSE as discontinued Sanskrit communicative and new subject Sanskrit is introduced by CBSE based on NCERT book. The new text book prepared by NCERT for Sanskrit (SHEMUSHI Part-1) will be followed in class 9 Sanskrit. However, those studied Sanskrit Communicative in class 9 in session 2017-18 will continue their syllabus (Sanskrit Communicative) in class 10 too.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Class_11_English_Elective_CBSE_discontinued\"><\/span>Class 11 English Elective CBSE discontinued<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As CBSE discontinued book publishing, the curriculum for subjects offered based on books published by CBSE is also discontinued. Now there will be no subject such as English Elective CBSE. It is discontinued. Now students will study English Elective (previously named as English Elective NCERT). Those who studied English Elective CBSE in class 11 will continue the same in class 12 too. New admissions in class 11 will have to take English Elective or English Core.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Computer_Science_New_introduced\"><\/span>Computer Science (New) introduced<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The syllabus for class 11 and 12 Computer Science is totally redesigned. CBSE has discontinued CPP in class 11 Computer Science New syllabus and student will study the new interactive and modern language Python. However, students studied computer Science with C++ in session 2017-18 will continue to study Computer Science Old syllabus in class 12 too. But from next session onwards no school will be allowed to offer C++. They all must follow computer Science New syllabus only.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Informatics_Practices_class_11_Redesigned\"><\/span>Informatics Practices class 11 Redesigned<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>CBSE has redesigned the syllabus of class 11 and 12 IP. Now schools will offer Informatics Practices New syllabus to class 11 students however who studied the old syllabus will continue it in class 12 as Informatics Practices Old.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Some_other_subjects_discontinued\"><\/span>Some other subjects discontinued<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>CBSE as discontinued Agriculture, Mass Media, Multimedia and web technology, Fashion Studies from session 2018-19.
