Install NowThe Central Board of Secondary Education had introduced the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme in all schools affiliated to it from October 2009 onwards in Class IX.
The Board has also conducted numerous training workshops for principals and teachers to create awareness regarding the School Based Assessment and CCE Scheme. Formative and Summative Assessment as well as using tools and techniques of assessment in scholastic and co-scholastic skills were discussed in these workshops.
The Board is now planning to organize an intensive teacher training workshop on teaching excellence for teachers.
These will be directed and led by an extra ordinary leader teacher who has been involved with the empowerment of principals for the last few years. The schools who are interested in sending forth the teacher for this programme must fill in the questionnaire on Teaching Excellence which is annexed. It may be mentioned that there will be very intensive screening on receiving these questionnaires as only a group of 50 teachers will be selected from each region.
The first such workshop is scheduled to be held in the month of April, 2010.
