2x+ 5=13 

Keeping x on one side ,

2x= 13-5=8

x=8/2=4

for finding x +5 will come on RHS and will become -5 so

13-5=8 sooo

x = 8 divided by 2 soo 4 

x=4

Since 2x + 5 = 13

Subtract 5 from both sides2x+5-5=13-52x=8Now Divide by two on both sidesx=8/4x=2
