1. Biological magnification is also known as Biomagnification.
2. It is the increase in concentration of certain chemicals like pesticides (ex. DDT) and heavy metals (ex. Mercury) in the tissue of living being at each successive level of food chain.
3. The concentration of these chemicals is highest in the top trophic level.
