    Permanent Magnet Electro Magnet
    The South – North polarity of a permanent magnet is fixed and they cannot be changed The South – North polarity of a permanent magnet can be changed by changing the direction of the current in the coil.
    Its strength cannot be changed or altered. Its strength can be changed by changing the current in it or by changing the number of turns in it.
