Divided into two phases--- Light Phase  and Dark Phase. In light phase electrons of chlorophyll are excited which splits water into oxygen and hydrogen along with generation of ATP and NADPH. In dark phase ATP and NADPH converst carbon di-oxide to glucose. Oxygen is released as a by-product.
