Tangent of an angle is equal to the perpendicular divided by the base, As the angle approaches 90 degree, the value of the perpendicular starts to rise at abnormally higher rate but the value of the base remains same.

At 90 degree, there will be no triangle as the perpendicular and hypotenuse will never meet or meet at infinity and in that case perpendicular and the hypotenuse both wil be infinie..

tan 90 will be infinite
