Let p(x) = x<font size="2">2 </font>+ 3x + k

If one zero of the p(x) is 7, then

p(7) = 0

=>          (7)2 + 3 x 7 + k = 0

=>          49 + 21 + k = 0

=>          70 + k = 0

=>          k = -70
