Zeeman effect: The shifting and splitting of spectral lines of atoms and molecules due to presence of an static magnetic field which were first observed by Zeeman therefore called Zeeman Effect.
Stark effect: The shifting and splitting of spectral lines of atoms and molecules due to presence of an external static electric field is called as stark effect.
