Let the cards can be (1,3),(1,5),(1,7),(3,5),(3,7),(5,7)
Now x is the sum of two cards
Possible set of x is {4,6,8,8,10,12}
Now the mean is (4+6+8+8+10+12)/6
=48/6
=8
Variance=1/6(4^2+2^2+0^2+0^2+2^2+4^2)
=1/6(16+4+0+0+4+16)
= 40/6
=6.66
