Ans. Total Weight = 100g
Let the Lost Weight after Drying = x g
Then New Weight = (100-x)g
Now,
Lost Weight = Weight of Potato at 99% - Weight of Potato at 98%
=> \(x = {99 \times 100\over 100} - {98 \times (100-x)\over 100}\)
=> \(x = {99 } - 98 +{98x\over 100}\)
=> \(x - {98x\over 100} = 1\)
=> \({2x\over 100} = 1 => x = {100\over 2} = 50\)
New Weight = 100 -50 = 50 g
