Let the CP of Transistor = x/-

To get 16% Profit, SP should be CP * (100 + Profit%)/ 100 = x * 116/100 = 1.16x/-

New SP = (1.16x + 20)/- then the Profit% = 20

Now, Profit% = {(SP - CP) * 100}/ CP => 20 = {(1.16x + 20 - x) * 100}/ x

20x = (0.16x + 20) * 100

20x = 16x + 2000 => 4x = 2000 => x = 500/- (Answer)
