Q.the diameter of two circle are in the ratio 3:2find the ratio of their areas

Ans. Let's say dia of both circle is  3x and 2x

Then the radius will be 1.5x and x

and area will be pie (1.5x)2 and pie (x)2

And their ratio will be=  pie (1.5x)2  /  pie (x)2

                                         = 1.5 /1 =1.5

Q.find the area of the circle whose circumference is 77cm

Ans. Circumference = 2 pie R =77 cm

                                         R = 77 /(2 *3.14) =12.26 , so radius  is 12.26 cm

                            Area  =  Pie R2 = Pie * (12.26 )

                                   Area = 3.14 * (12.26 )2 = 471.965 cm2
