Charges for first 4 hours is Rs. 60.

Charges for next 4 hours (8 hours) is Rs. (60 + 40) = Rs. 100

Charges for next 4 hours (12 hours) is Rs. (100 + 40) = Rs. 140

Charges for next 12 hours (24 hours) is Rs. (140 + 40) = Rs. 180

Since the parking charges are not increasing in direct proportion to the parking time.

So, parking charges are not in direct proportion to the parking time.

Ans . The charges are not increasing in direct proportion to the parking time because

x1y1 x2y2

=> 4608100

So Parking chages are not in Direct Proportion to the parking time.
