Federalism is a form of governance being practiced in India under this system there is a central power and other sub units of it. Government is run by the both authorities with units having more powers and centre has taxation, defense, and foreign affairs in his hand.
A citizen is governed by two governments. Constitution has the rules and regulations for both governments and if there is any conflict between centre and a state courts mediate between them according to the constitution.
