$Formula used:$

$Area of square=side\times side$

$area of rec\tan gle=length\times breadth$

$Materials required:$

$A sheet of white paper, sheets of glazed paper (different colours), a pair of scissors, glue stick and a geometry box$

$Procedure:$

$Take distinct values of a and b, let a= 4 units; b=2 units.$

$1. Cut a square of side a= 4 unit on a glazed paper \left(purple\right).$

$2. Cut a square of side b on a glazed paper\left(blue\right)$

$3. Now, Cut 2 rec\tan gles of length a and breadth b from third glazed paper\left(red\right).$

$4. Draw a square PQRS of (a+b)=(4+2)=6 units on a white paper sheet$

$5. Pase the square I and II and 2 rec\tan gles III and IV on the same white squared paper.$
