Class IX Summative Assessment II – Eligibility for Improvement

This  is  in  continuation  of  CBSE  circular  no.40/29.9.2009  regarding  introduction  of Grading at Class IX and X from the Academic Session 2009-10.   As per above circular, the Board has discontinued the practice of declaring ‘Compartment’ or ’Fail’.  Further, it has also been informed that candidates who have obtained Grade ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ are required to improve their performance in subsequent five attempts.

CCE Syllabus for class 10 Mathematics for session 2010-2011 prescribed for First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) and Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) issued by CBSE, New Delhi. As per CCE guidelines, the syllabus of Mathematics for classes IX and X has been divided term wise. CCE Syllabus for class 10 English Language and Literature (Course B) for session 2010-2011 prescribed for First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) and Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) issued by CBSE, New Delhi. New Revised CBSE Sample Question Papers for 2010 Exams

Sample Question Papers in all subjects have been revised, published and uploaded on the Board’s website for March 2010 examination.

A special feature is the publication of sample question papers in the subjects of Computer Science, Multi Media and Web Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Home Science, Engineering Graphics, in class XII and foundation of Information Technology in class X for the first time.

Class-IX March 2010 Examination under Summative Assessment-II

The first examination under CCE scheme will be conducted for class 9 second term in March 2010. It covers 40% weightage as part of summative assessment in second term. Total weightage of 2nd term assessment is 60% of total syllabus. Two formative assessments of 10% each have been conducted in the school in form of projects and assignments.

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in CBSE class 9 and 10

The Board has extended the concept of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in class IX with effect from October 2009 to be continued in class X for the year 2010-11 onwards.

For this purpose syllabus has been split up over two terms. Each term will have two formative tests of 10% weightage each and one summative test of weightage 20% and 40 % respectively.
