A detailed analysis of CBSE result 2009 for class 12 has been made available at CBSE official website. As per the site total 637976 students were registered for class 12 examinations 2009 and out of that 627022 appeared in the examination. Only 576 students for Tibetans schools appeared in the exam out or 599 registered.

Total 77.40 boys and 85.94 girls passed the class 12 CBSE exam in 2009. It was 77.59 and 85.41 respectively in 2008 examination. JNV topped with 94.09 pass percentage. KVS is ranked second with 91.32 percent passed students. Only 49.72 percent privately appeared students managed to pass the examination.

Total 10.40 percent student got compartment in CBSE class 12 examinations in 2009. Total 58 cases of unfair means were caught this year out of that 16 were from Delhi only and the same number was from Allahabad.

RESULT STATISTICS

In total 637976 candidates were registered for class XII examination this year. This amounts for an increase of about  16.13% candidates over that of last year.

HIGHLIGHTS

An increase of 0.09 % in the over all pass percentage as compared to 2008 results.

Pass percentage of 2008 = 80.91

Pass percentage of 2009 = 81.00

Girls do better than boys. Pass percentage of girls is  85.94 as compared to that of boys which is 77.40 .

Pass percentage of regular students is 82.69 as compared to 49.72 of private/ patrachar candidates.

Over all pass percentage of Chennai Region is  92.06 which is the highest as compared to other regions.
