CBSE Private Candidate Admission form 2017

CBSE conducts board examinations for regular students studying in schools affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. There are number of students who are not part of regular schooling but they sit in board exams.  The have to fill CBSE Private Candidate Admission form 2017. Such cases may be as below:

  1. Students who got re-compartment in class 12 and not enrolled in any school.
  2. Candidates, willing to apply for improvement of marks/grades after 10th or 12th
  3. Students, wish to reappear in all subjects.
  4. Passed students, sitting in an additional subject within 6 years
  5. Women candidates (Delhi) who are sitting in board exam privately
  6. Teachers in CBSE affiliate schools, willing to study further.

CBSE considers all such cases as private candidates. As these candidates are not attached to any school, CBSE regional offices provide them all the facilities from filling and submitting forms for exam to issuing certificates to successful candidates. All such candidates are call CBSE private candidates and will be applicable for CBSE Private Candidate Admission form 2017

Do Private Candidates have special Exam?

No, they are treated same as regular candidates. They sit in same board exams with same question paper as other regular candidates. They have same syllabus, same examination dates and same date of declaration of result. They get same certification. The only difference between regular candidates and private candidates is, regular students are connected to CBSE through their schools but private candidates contact CBSE directly through CBSE regional offices.

Who can sit in CBSE Exams as Private Candidate?

CBSE has different eligibility criteria for class 10 and class 12 exams. It has two different exam categories regarding private exam. One is for Students from NCT, Delhi and other is for All India (outside Delhi). Women candidates from NCT, Delhi can apply as private candidate but the same facility is not provided to candidates from outside Delhi.  All other rules are almost same for both the categories.

Eligibility Criteria as CBSE private Candidate Class XII (outside Delhi)

CATEGORYELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
FULL SUBJECT

(5/6 SUBJECTS)

Candidate who has been declared as FAIL at the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII)

OR

Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board and has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination in 2015 or earlier

OR

Candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing at AISSCE examination but could not appear for the Class XII examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance

COMPARTMENT

(1 SUBJECT)

Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together

Candidate declared as COMPARTMENT in March and July 2016 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in Compartment.

If a candidate wants he/she can apply for appearing in all the 5/6 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2016 examination in failure category.

IMPROVEMENT OF PERFORMANCE

Candidate applying for Improvement of Performance cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.

Candidate who has passed the examination of the Board in 2016 can apply in 2017 for improving his/her performance in one or more subjects. He/she should have appeared in these subjects in the examination held in March 2016.

Candidate who has passed Class XII under vocational stream in 2015 can also apply for improving his/her performance in the examination to be held in 2017 provided he/she has not availed the chance in 2016

Special Instruction for JEE Aspirants: As per the eligibility notified for JEE-2017 candidates should have scored 75 % (65 % For SC/ST students) or in top 20 percentile of XII Examination held in 2015/ 2016.

Students of 2015/2016 (who have taken Physics and Mathematics)desiring to appear in the IOP will have to appear in all the five subjects in which he/she had appeared in Main Examination of class 12th in 2015/2016.

ADDITIONAL SUBJECT

Candidate applying for Additional Subject cannot apply for appearing for Improvement of Performance together

Candidate who has passed Board examination can apply for an Additional subject from the list of subjects enclosed, within 06 years of passing the examination (pass-outs of 2011/2012/2013/2014/2015/2016 are eligible to apply). However, candidate cannot apply for a subject involving practical work. Candidates are allowed to take subjects having project component

 

Eligibility Criteria as CBSE  Private Candidate Admission form 2017 Class XII (Delhi only)

CATEGORYELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
FULL SUBJECT

(5/6 SUBJECTS)

Candidate who has been declared as FAIL at the Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination(Class XII)

OR

Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board and has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination from any 3 recognized Board in 2015 or earlier

OR

Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board in 2015 or earlier. Women candidates who are bonafide residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi; and satisfy the following additional conditions:-

(a) that they have privately pursued the prescribed course of study under proper guidance; and

(b) that they are unable to join a Senior Secondary School affiliated to the Board or there are such other reasons compelling them to appear at the examination as a private candidate. (Refer to Affidavit format attached)

Note: Women candidate applying under this category cannot take subjects involving practical component. However they can take Home Science with practical.

OR

Physically Handicapped student who has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board in 2015 or earlier on producing reasonable evidence of having difficulty to attend normal institutions in the subjects not involving practical training/examination

OR

Regular candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing for the Class XII examination but could not appear at the Annual Examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance

COMPARTMENT

(1 SUBJECT)

Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together

Candidate who has been declared as ‘NIOP’ at the Delhi Secondary School Examination(Class X)

OR

Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board

OR

(i) if would have appeared through a school as a regular candidate;

OR

(ii) one year after passing Class IX and two years after passing Class VIII as a regular candidate

AND

(iii) satisfy the following additional conditions:-

Examination fee is exempted for Blind candidates of All India Scheme & Delhi Scheme.

Fresh Male candidates of Delhi or female candidates from other states are not eligible to apply as Private candidate)

Mode of Payment of Fee for CBSE Private Candidate Admission form 2017 will be as per details given on website. Candidates from OUTSIDE INDIA: Applicants from Outside India should send Fee through Demand Draft in name of ‘Secretary, CBSE’ payable at Delhi. If Fee is send through DD Application No. and Roll No./Year of candidate must be written on backside of the Demand Draft.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Candidate will have to send Photostat copy of the Marksheet/Grade sheet cum Certificate of Performance of the Roll No. filled in the application form and copy of e-challan/DD alongwith the confirmation page to the concerned Regional Office. Fresh female candidate appearing under Delhi Scheme will also have to send the Affidavit.
  2. Examination centre once allotted will be final and no request for change of examination centre will be attended to. Examination centre will be allotted by the Board based on the Roll No. / Region of the candidate. Candidate should ensure that they write the address based on the corresponding State/District which will be auto-generated after entering Roll No. and Year.
  3. Candidates will be able to apply only for subjects which are auto generated in the system. In case there is any subject which is not in the auto-generated system and applicant want to apply in that subject, they should give such request to the Regional Office by Speed Post along with Fee and other documents required. However candidature of such candidates will be subject to availability of that subject and eligibility.
  4. Candidate will be asked their Aadhaar number during online submission. This will be optional.
  5. Fresh (New) Roll Number will be allotted by the Board for the candidate appearing in 2017. In no case the candidate will be allowed to appear with the previous year’s Roll No.
  6. Admit Card: Candidates will be able to download the Admit Cards from the website of CBSE www.cbse.nic.in during 2nd week of February 2017. Admit cards to candidate of Delhi Region will be given from the allotted examination centre.
  7. Marksheet/Certificate a) The mark-sheet and certificate of previous year examination has not to be surrendered to the Board. b) Candidate appearing for Improvement of Performance (Class XII)/Upgrading of Performance(Class X) will be issued a separate fresh mark-sheet reflecting the marks/grades of this examination. c) Consolidated marksheet will not be issued to Candidates except to those appearing under COMPARTMENT category and passing the examination. d) No fresh Certificate will be issued to the candidate appearing under the categories IMPROVEMENT OF PERFORMANCE(CLASS XII)/UPGRADING OF PERFORMANCE(CLASS X) AND ADDITIONAL SUBJECT
  8. Candidate will be examined only in the Syllabus as prescribed for the year of Examination. The Student must go through the eligibility and pass criteria as well as current curriculum and scheme of studies carefully before filling the form.

SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR CLASS XII

  1. Subject Selection: Private candidate is not permitted to offer such subjects for the examination which involve practical work except in the case of candidates who had failed earlier and who had put in a regular course of study at an institution affiliated to the Board in the previous academic year. Only female candidates of Delhi can offer Home Science with practical.
  2. Practical Examination: a) Candidate applying for Improvement of Performance in the subject(s) involving practical has to apply only for theory examination, if he/she has passed in practical. The old practical marks will be taken into account. However, if he/she has failed in practical, should apply for theory and practical both, irrespective whether he/she has already passed in the theory examination. Those candidates who could not appear in Practical Examination due to medical reasons should also apply for Practical examination. b) In the subject(s) where practical examination is involved, separate pass in theory & practical examination as also in the aggregate of the two is compulsory. c) A failure candidate’s practical marks of his/her first examination will be carried over upto two consecutive years after his/her first exam.
