Aptitude Test:

1. The Board will offer an Aptitude Test (optional) which along with other school records and CCE would help the students, parents and teachers in deciding the choice of the subjects at Class XI.

2. The Board proposes to provide an opportunity to students to undertake the Aptitude Test twice, once at the end of Class IX and then at the end of Class X.

Admission in Class XI (Academic Session 2011–12):

1. For the purpose of admission in Class XI the CCE certificate will be relied upon.

2. It is also recommended that some amount of weightage be assigned to the co-scholastic aspects especially Life Skills and excellence in sports for allotting subjects in class XI. A multi-pronged approach for assigning subjects needs to be adopted. Aptitude test, Scholastic Performance and Co-Scholastic Achievements, all need to be given weightage.

3. Students of the same school may be given preference over the students coming from any other school for admission in Class XI.

  1. Most of the schools does not encourage students to actively participate in sports items. They think it is a waste of time. Till IX , they were allotted only 1 or 2 PT periods in a week. In X th, they were prohibited from having PT. They can only study. Actually this is rubbish. THey learn the entire syllabus for Dec exam(i.e. 2nd terminal exam). Then, they have to write 2 model exams in Jan & in Feb with the same portions and again the main board in March. Actually, for the intelligent lot , these exams (repeated) are a punishment. So, this change is really welcome. Also, importance of physical Activity should be increased. The awareness for a healthy generation -mental as well as physical Take the example of recent happenings in a Delhi school-stampede happened -5 students lost life- just happened as somebody told a lie to make a commotion to escape from the exam. So many steps to be taken to improvise the education. The syllabus has to be lightened. It is a heavy load for the +1, +2 children. The Chemistry, Maths, Physics , everything has to be made simpler. They will learn all these in UG course.

  2. i m a student of class tenth….it is given that we will have two chances of taking aptitude tests but v have not got any chance in class IX…
    plz guide us how to take these aptitude tests..

    THE TEACHERS ARE REALLY NOT CNCIUS TWARDS OUR FUTURE.
    FOR ALL THESE THE WHOLE EDUCATION SSTEM IS RESPONSIBLE.

  9. the above statements are very wrong ,the whole system according for delhi students is perfect.if we r not let to know about machines or else ,we would had taken it lightly ,which would really our i.q. as well as our marksheets.so ,friends don,t b afraid of such small learning problems and we should not blame the system as we dont want to be dumb,as we are the part of worlds best country,INDIA.AND BE PREPARE FOR RESULTS THEY CAN BE DECLARED ON 24-30MAY

  10. I SAYS THIS WITH VERY SADLY THAT ALL OUR MINISTERS WHO WANT TO DESTROY THE FUTURE OF STUDENTS .IF THE STUDENTS did not get THE SIDE THEY WANTS THEY DIDNOT STUDY PROPERLY WITH OTHER SIDE . FIrst of all WHEN THE PERCENTAGE WAS GIVEN IT SHOULD BE IN LIMITE OF TOLRATION BUT NOW WHEN GRADES WAS GIVEN IT BREAKS ALL THE LIMITES . By CBSE IT GIVEN THAT IF WE WANT TO KNOW THE PERCENTAGE WE MULTIPLY THE CGPA TO 9.5 so from that the student try all his best he didnot get percertage over 95. THIS IS A JOKE OF STUDENT LIFE

  11. i am a student of class 10th too.. just came to know about the test… my first term (sa1) is over..the results are out ..just wanted to know..the portion for the aptitude test…will it be the same as sa2? or something different..plz. reply

  13. if a student of class 10 wants to appear in AISSE 2011 conducted by CBSE then why he is not eligible to take admission in class XI in same board? please clearify.

  14. I JUST WANT TO KNOW THAT WHAT IS THE BENCHMARK , MEANS WHAT MARKS SHOULD A STUDENT REQUIRE TO GET AN ADMISSION FOR SCIENCE OR COMMERCE IN CLASS XI.
