CBSE 2010 Exams : CCE in Class IX and Grades in Class 10

Students of class X taking board exams in March 2010 will not get to know their percentage. Their ‘marksheet’ will only bear grades from now on and not marks.

As per a presentation on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) made at conference on schools at IIT Delhi on Monday, the CBSE will switch to the grading system for class X from this session itself.

CBSE Class 9 CCE Sample Papers and Syllabus for 2nd Term

CBSE announced new scheme of examination in 2009. Now class 9 and class 10 will have two terms in an academic year. Term 1 is from April to September and Term 2 is from October to March.

CBSE Sample Paper 2010 for class 12

CBSE published New Sample Papers for class 12 are available for free downloads. There are some modifications in question patterns, marking scheme and design of question paper. CBSE has issued new sample papers for March 2010 examinations for these subjects. The newly issued sample papers are design for the session 2009-2010 and the examination will be held in the month of March-April 2010.

CBSE Sample Papers 2010 for Class 10

CBSE has issued new sample papers for class 10 for the session 2009-2010. The examination will be held in March 2010. There is no change in the syllabus and Sample Papers for class 10 English and Class 10 Mathematics but New Sample Papers are issued for all other subjects. There are some changes in the syllabus of class 10 Social Science. The New CBSE Sample Papers for 2010 examination includes these changes. Marking Scheme as per the changed syllabus is also provided along with the Sample Papers.

CBSE Class 9 Syllabus and Examination Structure for 2nd Term October 2009

CBSE Syllabus and Examination Structure for Summative Assessment and Formative Assessment of Class IX has been released by Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE New Delhi. It is for second term examination (October 2009 to March 2010) and exam will be conducted in the school in March 2010.

Summative Assessment covers 40% marks paper out of total 60%  marks in second term and Formative Assessment covers 20% marks (FA-3 10% and FA-4 10%) paper out of total 60%  marks in second term.

CCE in Class IX for Second Term October 2009 to March 2010

The Central Board of Secondary Education vide Circular No 39 dated 20/09/2009 on Examination Reforms and Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) calls for holistic evaluation of learners by strengthening CCE in Class IX with effect from October 2009. The Class IX students will be assessed through CCE by the school itself.  The strengthened CCE Scheme will be applicable for the second term (October 2009- March 2010) of the current Academic session in Class IX.

Change in the Accountancy syllabus of Class XII

Based on the feedback received from the teachers, the Board has decided to make following changes in the Accountancy syllabus of Class XII for the Board Examination 2010.

The following sub-topics will be deleted from Unit 4 of the syllabus, namely
a)    Issue of debentures at a discount.
b)    Writing off of discount on issue of debentures.
c)    Sinking fund as one of the methods of Redemption of Debentures.

Course Curriculum and Evaluation Scheme of Introductory Information Technology

The course curriculum on “Introductory Information Technology” at Secondary Level is the Foundation course for all other courses relating to Computer Science/Multimedia and Web Technology/Informatics Practices/Information Technology Applications in classes XI & XII.

Keeping this in view, CBSE has renamed the course curriculum “Introductory Information Technology” at Secondary Level as “Foundation of Information Technology” from the session 2009-2010 for Class IX and 2010-2011 for Class X with necessary changes in the course content of the subject.
